Next 0rder is a completely unique game (along with World 1 and the 3DS game). I personally didn’t like it too much, but I am playing through it again and it’s not as bad as I remember, although it does feel very basic. The only difference between certain Digimon is stats for the most part, because all the “special” attacks are the same just with different elements and animations that play when you use them. At the risk of being downvoted I will tell you that while Cyber Sleuth has a good story and generally more story than Next 0rder, it is a very barebones RPG in terms of gameplay mechanics. They are entirely different kinds of games. If you’re comparing it to Cyber Sleuth, don’t. ![]() Turn on easy mode by talking to I think Punimon, and your stat gains from training will be better, and it doesn’t affect battle difficulty either so there’s no reason to not have easy mode on, imo. The only thing I don’t like about it is the default difficulty makes it impossible to gain stats. Personally I really love it, but I am a super vpet fan, so I am a bit biased. It’s basically just like Digimon World 1 except it’s a direct sequel where you get TWO Digimon instead of 1! And your digimon don’t die after losing 3 battles! I didn’t get into it when I first bought it, but I recently started playing it “for real” and it’s just great. I watched this video for where yo train, but this player is better than me: Play the game this way and use the older digimon to train the younger one. It will make huge gains and become as strong as the ultimate while a rookie or champion. This is the sweet spot, train the baby until it is rookie and then go fight the strongest digimon the older digimon and beat. When you level, unlock perfect guard and stat gains through fighting player abilities. They will make champion pretty easy and one will make ultimate. When it gets dark port back home and train until bed. Then, train until they eat the first time, then explore and fight. Train in the gym for hp until they are rookie level. They will be difficult to raise and they are both the same level. Do the best you can with your first digimon. I’ll post links for the guides I used early on, but here was my system.
